Something to Celebrate
It’s ThriveNinty’s birthday, and we double up the resources for you today. (written 08/11/2024)
Maybe it is a good omen that the date of our first anniversary matches up with the date we share our weekly Newsletter. One year ago, we officially founded ThriveNinety, dedicated to supporting people with Long COVID and other post-viral conditions. This drew on work we had been doing before, but it was exciting to take the next step so that we could help others at a larger scale.
As we point out to both our followers and program participants, it is important to focus on developing a strong foundation when working to manage post-viral symptoms. We have the same focus on foundation building with our organization. This includes doing research, testing and building programs, connecting with other experts in the field, and linking with those who benefit from support. Alongside that, we are busy developing new resources that are helpful for people with post-viral conditions and serve program participants.
To mark our anniversary with a bang, we are introducing a new program to our lineup, focused on Pacing strategies. The Long COVID and post-viral condition community often discusses the importance of Pacing to manage symptoms and support recovery. In many cases, pacing is thought of as rest, and progressive exercise regimes have been controversial. However, the evidence shows that REST is only one aspect of pacing. Instead, it is about rest, activity, and removing things that tax our system. We dive deeper into Pacing and what it means in this week's blog post, Pacing for Long Covid and Post-Viral Conditions.
In our blog, we explore pacing using the ThriveNinety framework of WHAT, WHY, and HOW to examine how you can use pacing to manage post-viral symptoms and reduce the risk of both short- and long-term health conditions. We also include a link to get more information on our new Pacing program. If you want to go straight to our Pacing Essentials program information page, click here.
Warmly,
Katie & Andrea
PS. It’s an exciting day for us, celebrating ThriveNinety’s first anniversary. We have been busy over the last year, supporting clients and developing new content. We thought, what better way to mark 1 full year of ThriveNinety than to announce our second program Pacing Essentials. The work to develop this new program has meant some long days for us, but we are excited to see the impact the program will have for people, and practice Pacing ourselves wherever possible!
