“Katie and Andrea help people get back to doing what they love, and it’s remarkable how well their approach works.”
Matt Fitzgerald, Author, Ultra-runner, Co-founder 80/20 Endurance
Katie Brennan, MSc, is an economist with over two decades of experience. Her work has driven improvements in how health systems support people with complex conditions in both the UK and US.
She is grounded in one simple question: What actually helps people feel and function better in daily life?
Across the US and the National Health Service in England, she worked with data, research, and clinical teams to develop approaches that looked beyond symptoms—getting to the root cause of issues, considering whole-person health, and focusing on practical outcomes that matter.
In 2020, that work became personal.
After developing Long COVID, Katie experienced the uncertainty, debilitating symptoms, and loss of consistency that many people face. Daily life became less predictable. Energy, focus, and capacity were a fraction of what they were.
Rather than accepting that as the endpoint, she applied her background in healthcare improvement, emerging research, and lived experience to find a different path.
Working closely with Andrea, she began testing simple, targeted tools, refining them based on what creates real, repeatable changes in how the body functions.
What emerged is the foundation of ThriveNinety:
An approach built to restore function, rebuild capacity, and support consistent performance—whether someone is navigating Long COVID or looking to perform at a high level.
For years, Katie has focused on helping others improve their health and regain a greater sense of control, clarity, and capability in daily life.
Andrea Henkel Burke, OYL, is a 2Ă— Olympic and 8Ă— World Champion in biathlon, known for sustaining elite performance over more than a decade at the highest level.
At that level, small changes in how the body functions—timing, coordination, recovery—make the difference between performing and falling short of your goals.
Andrea’s career was shaped by learning how to recognize what supported her and what didn't, and made sure she was giving her body and brain the right inputs to drive consistency and high-level performance.
That experience became vital during periods of her career when she faced illness and setbacks, where maintaining performance required more than training harder. It required understanding active recovery, so her body could function reliably again.
After her competitive career, Andrea deepened this work through advanced training in brain–body systems, including certifications in personal training, psychoneuroimmunology, and methods that focus on coordination, control, and efficient movement.
Her focus is practical:
Simple, targeted tools that improve how the body communicates, stabilizes, and performs—whether the goal is returning from illness or performing.
Together with Katie, she shaped an approach that translates these principles into tools that are accessible, adaptable, and effective across a wide range of needs, from Long COVID recovery to high-level performance.
Together, they bring a unique combination of health science and elite performance experience - applied to help you restore how your body functions, build capacity, and perform more consistently.
The ThriveNinety Approach
If you’ve tried to manage one symptom at a time, or push just push through them, you may have noticed progress can be limited or inconsistent.
We take a different path and focus on improving how your body functions as a system. When function improves, energy, clarity, and performance begin to improve together.
We guide with clear structure, practical tools, and knowledge to understand how they work, while also showing how to personalize these tools so they fit people's situations and lives. They’ll know what they’re doing and why it works.
Designed to be simple and accessible, these tools seamlessly integrate into your day and adjust to your ability level while offering support when you need it.

Control what’s in your Control.
When you're not always feeling at your best, whether in health, daily life, or performance, it’s easy to focus on what’s not working or the factors outside your control that impact you.
At the same time, there is more within your control than it may seem.
Your inputs.
Your actions.
What you repeat consistently.
Over time, small, intentional actions shape how your body functions, supporting more clarity, stability, and consistency in how you feel and perform.
How It All Started
When Katie joined one of Andrea’s training sessions, something stood out.
Andrea was naturally integrating brain–body and recovery-focused tools into her sessions. Small, targeted inputs woven in between exercises and workout blocks. These were the same types of tools Katie had identified through research, now applied in a simple, practical way, and with a rich set of options.
As Katie began using them more consistently, what had been theory became tangible: a toolkit that worked in real life, that accelerated improvement.
That experience led to a conversation.
Together, they recognized the gap. People in need were missing access to this kind of practical, structured approach. They decided to build something that could reach far beyond a single session.
Why ThriveNinetyÂ
As we began creating our first resources, it became clear that this approach reached beyond recovery. The same principles apply to building resilience and to supporting high-level performance.
We needed a name that could hold all of that.
We kept coming back to a simple idea: helping people to thrive. Not just in one moment or through a specific challenge, but over time. The “ninety” comes from a personal goal. Andrea wants to still be cross-country skiing at the age of 90.
Ninety reflects the ability to move, think, and live with energy and independence over time.
That idea led to the name ThriveNinety.
Whether you’re recovering, building resilience, or performing at a high level, the goal is the same: supporting how your body functions today so it continues to support the life you want to live.
