“Is This Like Yoga?” – A Quick Answer
A simpler, broader, and accessible approach.
When we describe what we do, a common response is: “So… is it a bit like yoga? Or tai chi?” Often followed by, “I’ve tried that, and it helped.”
We understand the connection. There are shared elements for sure, including gentle movement, breathing, and working with the body in a more intentional way. These can support coordination, nervous system regulation, and connective tissue health.
Katie practiced yoga for over a decade and experienced those benefits firsthand. She also noticed how quickly things shifted when she couldn’t practice consistently. That’s often the challenge. Sessions typically take 45 minutes or more, which can be difficult when energy or time is limited, even if you know it helps.
Our approach is different. We focus even more widely on improving how your body functions as a system. We take a multi-faceted approach (PEDAL™), combining pacing, movement, nervous system regulation, and energy management. Also, we’ve designed the physical elements to be simple and brief (around five minutes) so they can fit into your day, even when capacity is limited.
If you have experience with yoga or tai chi, some of what we do will feel familiar. That’s intentional. We include elements that support fascia and nervous system function because these systems play a central role in how the body coordinates and communicates. When they’re working well, movement feels more efficient and progress and performance becomes more consistent. What we’ve done is make those benefits broader, easier to access, and easier to sustain.

P.S. If you’ve tried something that helped but was hard to sustain, you’re not alone. Often, the key is finding an approach that fits your current capacity in terms of both - time and energy.
