Days Getting Longer Again
Small, steady changes can create meaningful shifts one day at a time. (written 12/22/2024)
Yesterday marked the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere - the day with the shortest amount of daylight all year. Throughout human history, it has been celebrated as a day of renewal, where people look forward to a return of brighter days ahead.
The change doesn’t happen all at once. It happens little by little, with each day gaining a few more minutes each day. These small, steady changes create meaningful shifts—just like a path to better health.
Living with Long COVID or a post-infection condition can feel like being stuck in winter—heavy, dark, and unyielding. But the solstice reminds us: it is often darkest just before it starts to get lighter again. There is reason for hope, and a path to improvement is available. With patience and small, intentional steps, you can move toward brighter days.
This solstice, we invite you to embrace renewal in your own way. Celebrate the small wins, whether it’s a moment of energy, a new insight into your health, or simply taking time for yourself. At ThriveNinety, we believe that every small step counts—and together, those steps lead to real progress.
You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. We’re here to support you, with resources and guidance, like our 3 Tools, and programs designed to help you feel better.
It is possible to move toward hope and renewal, one day at a time.
Warmly,
Katie & Andrea
P.S. The solstice marks a time of renewal. This is an opportunity to reflect on our own health and improvement. Long COVID and post-infection conditions are debilitating, but it is possible to control what you are able to control. With targeted steps, you can move from darkness into light, one step at a time. If you haven’t done it yet, today is the day to pick one (or all three) of the tools to try. Katie still uses them daily to continue to support her improvement trajectory.
